Damn I'm hungry
+3 .
And the "fire extinguisher" is because he is Blaaaaazing through this build.......HotHotHot
I feel for you had my shear of kits like that the really older kits can be difficult to build and very frustrating. Just walk away for a couple of days and then go at it again that always helps me when I get fed up.whoever it was that sold me this kit either screwed me pretty badly or it was made like crap....no, not crap, worse than crap! I'm not sure if Bud Nosen Models gave A&A a bad name or if it was A&A that ruined Bud Nosen's good reputation. There's no way to tell what the year of manufacture of my kit was but the parts are just horrible. I am going to have to make all of the plywood ribs from scratch, thankfully there are only about seven total. The ones I have are unusable.
And, it's been decided, I'm making a one piece wing and it will have zero dihedral. I want to be able to scratch build and fly an Extreme Decathlon wing on this fuselage in the future if I get the urge and so the top of the fuselage has to be open for a future change of wings.
Just cleaning the bench and getting the tools organized again before making ribs (if I have the wood on hand).
Onward and upward.
105" is the full span but I'm going to clip the wings and go for the clipped Cub vibe. Not sure how much to clip yet but I can almost guarantee it won't be full span. It would make sense too with the clipped wing to go to a DLE 30 or something like that but I'd like to use the engine I have and not go spending any more money for this one than I have to.
So we'll see how it all works out.
