Scale BUSA Super Cub

I need to start thinking about paint so rereading this thread.

Some photos of the partially assembled wing. I ordered .012" SS wire from McMaster-Carr today to double wrap the turnbuckles and I am missing one turnbuckle, ordered that from DuBro. The servos are hidden under the fuel tank covers and the flap rod end is hidden in the trailing edge like the full scale. I used two scale aileron hinge kits when I built the ailerons and flaps. The turnbuckle fittings on the aileron horns are DuBro 4-40 rod ends turned down in the lathe with a piece of 4-40 threaded rod Loctited on. The pullies are from CB Associates now supplied MECOA.

Randolf's Ranthane. I really like it compared to the Steward System water born paint but I can only use it during the summer months. Looking forward to finishing the fuselage now, been moving it around the basement for 14 years.

Tony, a couple of questions. Poly Spray for a 1/3 scale looks to be 2-3 qts. At least. Then the Randolph paint quantities. I‘s quessing 2 qts per color/total of 4 but want to look around first.

I never sprayed Polytone or Randolph's butyrate, only Stewards System water borne urethane and Randolph Aerothane.
On the Super Cub, I stated with a gallon of white and a quart of red , the wings were painted twice and the fuselage was painted once. I have about 2 quarts of white left and not much red.
What does your paint scheme look like?

I’ve looked around for schemes but that was years ago. I’ve started looking again. I assumed Randolph Paint was Ranthane, looking now for Aerothane.

I'm sorry it is Ranthane, Aerothane is the Poly system urethane paint.
