Hello all,
The FAA is currently threatening new regulations, mainly imposing a hard altitude restriction of 400ft. over many clubs. This is a non-negotiable limit if signed into law, meaning you will never be able to get permissions to fly above it, and everybody needs to help make their voice heard. Share this link with your friends, your family, your club members, everyone. It can be filled out and submitted by anybody in the USA and takes less than a minute to do. From the AMA:
"AMA members: We need your help. The Federal Aviation Administration is considering a new policy that would limit all recreational model aircraft operations to 400ft in controlled airspace – with no exceptions. If implemented, this policy would end many of our longstanding, safe operations. Send a letter to Congress TODAY and ask them to contact the FAA on this critical issue.

This is not a matter of whether you believe the AMA is doing their job, this is a matter of we need to speak up as a whole. The last time something like this came up and the AMA asked for a call to action, a very minimal number of us spoke up (about 14,000 people, or less tan 10% of the AMA body). This is every bit our fault as it is theirs. Please don't take this situation lightheartedly, this is the governments gateway into clamping down severely upon us and possibly eliminating the hobby as we love permanently!
