DA recommends a 50 ounce or larger fuel tank.

i was considering either using a 64 ounce single nalgene rectangular bottle, or two 1000 ml Fiji bottles, the single bottle would have one clunk and one tubing that splits with a T for the fuel lines to both carbs. the Fiji tanks would each have their own plumbing direct to each carb.

decided to make a weight comparison, and the fiji tanks (2) would weigh in at about 3 ounces (this does not include plumping/cap/etc), and the nalgene 2000 cc bottle will weigh in at over 10 and 1/2 ounces. (again, this is without plumbing).

i believe that what i will do is wait and see where the airplanes CG will be, and if i need weight anterior to the wing tube, i can use the Nalgene bottle. if i want to shed weight from the front, then i can go with the two Fiji tanks.

With respect to fuel tanks, also consider the dubro 60 oz. It is only fractionally more weight than the 50oz tank (5.2 oz plumbed, if memory serves) and 60 oz more than adequate with the 200...unless you want 1/2 flights. The twin h2o bottle setup ends up a bit over 6 oz, the 64 nalgene style tank (Bennett) and up at about 12.6 oz plumbed. I experimented with the ocean spray bottle setup briefly and this was the lightest (3.1oz), but I was not successful in getting a complete seal (tried every conceivable sealant out there). The bottle just doesn't have enough threads on it to really tighten down the cap, and if you can get the cap good and snug with sealant, after about a dozen flights the plastic cap will after softened with fuel exposure...and you'll find out the hard way after a double negative snap at the bottom of a split s :upset:

great news!!!my 2 in 1 headers and the KS canisters arrived today. once i get the mount finished, i can mount the motor, then mount the canisters, then open up the bottom of the fuselage for air escape. then my friend ronnie will make me a few air dams to help extract hot air out!! I also have a surprise which i got today as well!! let me do some work on it first before i unveil it!!!!

Here is my Juice bottle setup in my ML with a PSP cap. No leaks. Don't know if a single pickup is enough for a 200 but it works great on a 170 with 1/8 lines. I would think it would also work with 3/16 main lines split with a T to 1/8 sides for the dual carbs. I don't know this for sure since I've never had a 200.
