Dang Bunk. You have to tighten the harch down. Hope its not to much to fix.

Can't wait to get back home and get some flying in. My vacation turned out to have withdrawl simptoms.

Got a call into Tony Russo, aka Mr. @woodisgood  on the replacement hatch and canopy for my D300.  I absolutely loved flying that airplane again.  I actually forgot how well that airplane grooved with some more pitch on the front side.

Good thing winter is coming!  I can finally get all my airplanes DONE!

Will have new hatch and canopy to build next week.

Then I can finally get the paint work done on it!!

Finally got all the parts in for the hatch rebuild. If nothing goes on Sunday, I'll build it then. Oh yeah!! While its at paint, I can fix what damage is done to the airframe.

Getting back on this. Ran into 1 small snag, but a quick message to Tony, and all is gooder. You'll see the snag. No big deal. Tony sent me parts for the ML, and I didn't tell him that this was a non ML airframe. Atleast I don't remember if I did or didn't.

But, I like using a vise to insert blind nuts, when applicable. The jaws are smooth, so there is no jaw marks on the finished product.

Everything else here looks to be self explanitatory. No exotic glues used, just medium glue. I have wood glue here, but someone (me) forgot to close the lid on it, and it all dried up in the cap.

Once I get the replacement parts, again, I'll continue with the repair. This here is just about 2 hrs in. I could make the sheeting up and go on, but I like wood glue for that.

All these pics are from my tablet, so no flash.
