Yes agree but you are sheeting over foam and it is not an open structure.Just for reference 40% carden wings and tails are sheeted in 1/16”.
Now you're picking up what I'm thinking. For a stabilizer 1/16 is to thin I agree 3/32 you can work with and still have some room to sand it to get it just right and not put your fingers through it. Plus you have a lot of weight upfront.
Well true as that is, a Carden 40% weighs between 36 to 43ish pounds depending on setup. And max speed is somewhere between 50 to 70 miles per hour. And that may be stretching it just a bit. Also they typically don't have a huge 16 lb motor hanging off the front end that you need to counteract with extra ballast. Plus no extreme high-g maneuvers. The Behemoth Mustang on the other hand will no doubt weigh in excess of 55 or so pounds. It will be able to handle some serious high-speed turn and burns. And once the reigns are released on that high spirited Stang, I expect she will do an easy 145 or more miles per hour. Maybe more. She is Sleek and slippery with a very fast wing. Thomas Gass's Voodoo was clocked at over 235 miles per hour. If I remember correctly. However that was a clipped wing and came in at about 52 pounds. However, the same engine and prop configuration that I will be running. So all due respect intended oh, I think there is good cause to utilize the sheeting that I am. I will see if I can find his video of that speed record flight.Just for reference 40% carden wings and tails are sheeted in 1/16”.
Which brings me to another point to ponder. Obviously these two planes annihilate anything that is even of the same design. Hardly in the same class. Annihilation cometh as the angel of death..hence Grim Reaper? Also, the meanest and most ferocious RC warbird in the skies. You all know where I am going with this right? Ferocious as in Frankie? I absolutely love FF. Both schemes are nice. But I can only do one. (That is unlesssss....another Kolm and another Stang? Oh be still my thumping heart. So I spent the afternoon searching for that video I mentioned. And then it occurred to me that perhaps I was referencing two planes, two engines and two different scenarios. And then I found it. Only...it is of Galloping Ghost with a 230 inline quad. I really dont know how I could've been so far off base. Maybe I spend too much time on YouTube watching and listening....!!aahhh!! to Kolm engines roaring through the skies? Lol. First the Ghost with the 230. And by the way, dont know where I got the 235mph. Der!! Ghost is 306km/h (190 mph)
Now for the Voodoo and the 150. Not a lot of difference in flight capabilities but you can easily see (and hear) the difference in performance.
I'm sorry for misrepresenting the wrong video and for giving you fellas inaccurate information. In my defense I can only offer... I am Kolm crazy and can not keep them separated. Lol. I will say this, if my Beloved and Behemoth Stang flies and sounds half as good as these two. Then I will be overwhelmed with pleasurable joy. I can almost here it now out at our field. My beasty dubs echo the entire desert with crazy howls of props ripping through the air. I can only imagine the sound from the 150 Kolm coupled with a Fiala 30x16, roaring through the open desert. Should be a sound that wont easily be duplicated.

Perhaps that is it. All I know is I need to go take a cold shower now. LOLPerhaps you were thinking of a different Galloping Ghost.
