Thank you for the links and the help the more tools the better. If it makes build easier i am in.

Question I have always used Airman wheels but they have changed owners and the the last wheel I got from them well let’s just say not like it was. How do the White Rose wheels compare. Need to start buying stuff for the plane. First will be J$J tail wheel.

You are welcome. Anyting to help you guys. As for the Airman Wheels, I can only relate my own personal experience. I feel the quality is just as good if not better than white rose Wheels. Again, that is my opinion. One thing I will state for fact, is the Airman wheels are much quieter than the white rose are. You see, Airman Wheels use a true roller bearing on both sides of the Hub and therefore they are incredibly smooth and extremely quiet. While the white rose Wheels use a basic bushing that rides on your axle. They tend to be quite noisy. I am also not particularly fond of the tires that they use on the White Rose Wheels. They have changed the design and have moved the tread ribs to the inside of the tire. When speaking to them about this design, I was informed that it was to help reduce side hop if you were turning your plane to Sharp. However I feel the tires are too hard for my liking. Regarding the Airman Wheels, they use a Dubro Tire. The nice thing about that is that when they wear out they are incredibly easy to replace. I did a little research and posted my findings on these wheels in a previous thread. I will see if I can find it. I prefer to buy Airman Wheels over White Rose any day of the week. As for the company being under new ownership, I was not aware of that. However I can personally state that the previous owners if different than now, leave quite a lot to be desired. They were very hard to get ahold of. Many times waiting weeks for any kind of a response. Then when I would get a response, I was given the excuse their little girl was playing with their phone. In my opinion that is not very professional. They always seemed to be preoccupied with other things going on. If they are now under new ownership since I purchased from them last, then I would love to be able to get back in touch with them again. Again, I would much rather prefer the Airman Wheels if I can get them.

Good choice on the tail gear. I really like the J&J tail Wheels. White rose has a very nice setup. However I have found that their tail gear is just as noisy as their main Wheels. Call me anal, I just don't like extra growling noise when taxing or Landing.

Yes they are under new ownership but I believe the new owner is the one you are describing, difficult to get a hold of and no response I guess I will try Airman again and see what happens will let you know.

Heavy wet snow, warm heavy rain, mixed with more snow and more rain has left every job site we have a complete mud bog. A duck wouldn't even venture in to waters this deep. So I did what every warm blooded American rc builder would do. Stayed indoors and built a little. I really want to get the last of the stabs and elevators finished up. So I cut from 3/8" ply, the necessary servo door rails and slotted the corresponding ribs they will screw to.

Once I have the rails epoxied in, I can start the bottom sheeting of the stab/elevators. I will border the rails with 1/8" balsa sheeting to allow the skin sheeting something to adhere to when glued in place.

I cut three each side 1/32" lite ply door panels. I will laminate them together to make up the total of 3/32" servo doors. One set for each elevator door.

I have the two doors now laminated and under the press. This gives me some time to do the border sheeting and start sheeting the bottom of the stab/elevators.

Will post more in a bit.

Looks good, talking about the weather it has been snowing for the last 8 hours and it is predicted that we are going to get at least 12 inch and more. So yes not going anywhere.
