Edit: Even better i found out my Hitec A9 will do quotes so i have it listed in my radio as EF "Laser"

too bad i didnt have the plane for a snap a pic contest would have found someway to strap it to a shark so it could have a warm meal

I've got Angry birds in all my planes except my two giant slicks. I've even got the "big bird" in my 74" Edge

Any opinion on the 14" prop? It's REALLY close to the ground...

I've not tried the Laser on a 14" prop but I fly the Edge on that prop regularly (from a grass strip), and it uses the same L/G, and it's not a problem. If you did have issues then a Xoar 13x7 works fine on your motor.

Hope the wing drops for you soon. It's the same here, windy most of the day but it often dies down in the evening so there is a brief flying opportunity before it gets dark.

I really don't want the wing to drop, but less wind would be nice. Well, both today and Sunday looks flyable, but I have to pick one day for flying and one for honey-dos. And I have to pick wisely! Today looks like 10 mph and tomorrow less than 5mph, so tomorrow looks better...

If the winds are aligned with your runway, this Laser can handle them! It's got tons of power!

Maiden report: Pretty windy with turbulence coming down from the mountains, but still flyable. I started the day by pancaking my Sabre X and shearing off the LG (fixable), so that put a damper on things.

First half flight was a bit nose heavy, so I landed and adjusted the CG back 1/4". I was struck by how stable she is, even with some wind. KE is absolutely effortless and I had the peanut gallery chant "lower, lower". I think that's a good thing. Harrier is very stable, but it has more of a distinct transition than my Sabre (which is a harrier queen). But as long as I made sure I really stalled the wing, it harriered like a dream.

Tumbles are spectacular, and although I still need to work on my timing, I got it to do some really nice pop tops.

It was a bit too windy for me do get it to do really stable hovers, but it felt pretty good. It seems to have a nice tendency to almost lock in. I had to hold a lot of aileron to keep it from torquing, due to the monster prop I'm spinning.

Loops and rolls are very clean and it flies pretty much hands off inverted. Only minimal down elevator needed. I'm talking maybe a millimeter or two movement of my finger.

Overall I have to join the kool-aid drinkers and say that quality counts. This plane makes me realize that I have a lot to learn before I can take full advantage of a top notch plane, but I will have a lot of fun learning on this plane. It does everything I ask it to do. Now I just need to learn how to ask...
