Got mine today. The blue and yellow is beautiful! Got it all mocked up so I could take a pic real quick. Can't wait to get it flying.

I did some measurements of the E version.

980 grams on the fuse no canopy. 1176 with it.

155 grams on the hardware with baggies.

I did the cowl, wings, and stabs and I am pretty close to Ryan, so just go with his extensive measures.

Cowl to back of rudder is 74.5". Aeroplayin is figuring out the wing area from some measures I made of the wing.

Motrolfly needs 55mm of standoff.

Here are some photos.

Here are some pics of the gas version. Wings are reinforced with CF similar to the 91 and 104 Extras. It comes with LG fairings but I left those off for now.

I should be picking up everything I need to get it RTF from Aztech Aeromodels when I go up to Washington in a few days. Maybe I'll grab some bling for it too :)

I don't have the plane (yet) but with Matt and Ryan contributing some time to put some numbers together, we have a pretty good approximation for wing loading and cube loading.

For the e-version weights and the wing specs, I would come in at 12.88 pounds with the A60-8S and 2x 6S 3300's swinging a 21x10 to about 21 pounds and plenty of torque. It is on the low side of the power to weight that I'm typically looking for, but since this is not much heavier than the 78 Extra, but with a bit more wing area, it should be really fun. With the tips on, that brings the WL in at 24 and the cube loading in at 8.2. For my personal preference, I could not ask for better numbers unless I could just add another 200 more RPMs from the motor to increase the performance ratio at the top.

Considering the video of Tom flying my red gas version 78 at 13.6 pounds with the A60-7S on only 10S with the same prop spinning 350 RPMs slower, I think the 12S setup is right where I'm going to start with this plane. At 68A, I'm going to get 6.5 minutes, easy.

The gas version with a piped DA-35 starts off at 14.2 pounds wet, and ends up at about 13.5 with a 1/4 tank. So at an average of 13.84 pounds, the WL is still just under 26 and the WCL is still around 8.8. Power to weight will be better too if we can get 7400 RPMs from the 20x10 PJA.

So far, guys are still breaking in these engines without the pipes and reaching about 6900 RPMs. A little work to do yet, so let's see what happens. If anyone starts getting some numbers off a broken-in engine, please let me know.

I don't believe this number, but my friends who run a DLE-35RA on a ES 30G pipe claim they are getting 9100 RPM on a Mej 20x7. I want to verify that with my own tachometer. dth7 runs the same combo on his 78 and claims low 8000s which is more in line with reality with what kind of HP you would expect. They have different header lengths and Patrick is going to copy the header length with a 40G and see what results he gets in his gasser MXS. I learned from my little 15cc that spinning the bejesus out of a smaller prop might yield more overall power and have decent pull at the low end, just not the nice locked in feeling you get with a bigger prop in the 3D realm.
