Extreme Flight Owners Thread

I don't understand 6, 7, and 10. Is there a throttle cut in there somewhere?

Also, I wonder how trimming per 8 and 9 would affect KE flight?

Craig,
6 and 7 are to see if the plane is trimmed for all throttle settings (roll and yaw). Often when we trim at a mid-high throttle setting, when the power is reduced, the trim we have for the higher power setting will now induce a roll or yaw because of such a low power setting (idle). This is just to see if you need a low speed mix for THR-AIL or THR-RUD to keep it on a downline / horizontal line, when the power is back towards idle. In my experience- this is not an issue on the EXP series.

10 is to see if you need a pitch trim mix when the throttle is at idle. Again- in my experience- not likely a problem with an EXP.

Keep in mind guys- this is a trimming chart for use in all models- but designed for a pattern ship. Since we knock these all over the sky, your 'pursuit' of the perfect pattern ship may be lengthy if you don't own a Vanquish.... :D

Ordered myself a 48'' Extra EXP and it'll be here next Wednesday. Looking forward to having the Extra for my daily flyer. It's pretty sweet that it'll match my big Extra. Going with the Torque/AB combo, 65mgs, and a 85mg on the elevator.

Now i'm back to waiting for the 60'' Laser and 78'' MXS :peace:

Cute little 48 Joe.

The 48" size just doesn't click with me any more, the 60" flys so much better and is awesome at the park.

I run the little skywing 48" slick on 4s and its a blast and a half, still not sure its any tougher then a 48" EXP though but its lighter and that counts for something !!

I definitely agree with you about the 60'' size being where it's at. I have a whole setup for a 60'' plane but i'm waiting for the Laser. I love the 60'' planes, they're the sweet spot for performance and convenience. I pretty much got the 48 Extra just to match my 78 :D

I'd love to have a 91'' Extra though!

Shes a big bird Joe.

I had the Pilot Sbach 87" late last year and this 91" dwarfs the 87" Sbach substantially.

Sounds like you get great bang for your buck with the 91''. Can't wait to hear what you think of how it flies! It's absolutely beautiful and if it flies half as good as it looks it'll be amazing.
