I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a foam core elevator on a 36% Edge that is broken but not completely separated. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate any help I can get.

I'd get Gorilla glue use a seringe to put the glue down into the crack, (don't over do it) tape down the crack and let it expand and cure.

Again, using a minimal amount will be key. But if you do it right It should be as strong as new. I'd also wet the foam with water first so the glue really works!

good topic, i've got an old 50cc Aero-Tech Akromaster with a damaged wing where a wheelpant attempted to go through the bottom after the gear separated from the fuselage. i'll have to give this a try to get the sheeting and underlying foam back together again.

Bingo!! Except for the water method for me. Then tape it down, and let the glue do its thing!

It depends on how bad the foam is munched under the wood. I had the same thing happen many times with my 35% Carden. I just cut the wood away, inject some gorilla glue in the foam crack, and then lay my replacement wood in over the crack, and tape it in so the GG can dry.

Just to let everyone know, Sleepy's suggestion worked like a champ! Thank you SleepyC! The plane was back in the air about 4 hours after I set the glue and flying great.

I just now looked at the forum and realized a thank you goes out to everyone that suggested the Gorilla Glue. The foam wasn't that bad, so it was an easy repair.
