I'm thinking about getting a GP-123 for a EG Slick and was looking for some feedback. Thanks

GP model engines are specially designed for giant scale model aircraft. All the critical components (cylinder, piston, ring) are manufactured in Taiwan.

Our piston and cylinder suppliers make some of the highest quality pistons in Asia. They supply pistons to companies like Rotax, Yamaha, Toyota, Honda....etc. Our engine uses the highest quality Germany made FAG bearing and real Japanese made Walbro carburettor. Each engine is test run before it is shipped to ensure that the engine will bring you the most stable performance while delivering the highest level of performance.

Joe,

I saw this engine in Bowling Green in Chad's EG Slick and it was running flawlessly... And it was an earlier production version that has since been improved I think...

I've spoken at length with Kole about it, and the performance numbers he's getting are on par with the DA 120. Ripping a 29x9 prop!

Based on the information I have, I wouldn't hesitate to get one. I had already committed to purchasing the DA 120 that I just bought, otherwise I would have bought one of these instead.

I've been looking at this engine all summer but there has been so little feedback on it I have been waiting to hear a little more before pulling the trigger. I won a 104" EF Extra at XFC this summer and it's in need of an engine.

I am really working hard to get the word out there right now and find a few good pilots to fly GP, most people that have seen or flown one in person have been really happy with them.

Its something we have talked about. The main problem is hitting the price point. It does not cost much less to make a 35-40cc the a 60cc engine but you have to charge alot less or at least people expect you too. Our parts cost a lot more since they are not made in china so it would end up costing 400$ or maybe a little more and i am not sure that people will really pay that much? If people show enough interest it is probably possible.

yeah, that's a tough spot....people probably won't pay that much for a 35-40cc if the 55-60cc is about the same price.
Guess I'll just have to start buying bigger airframes...or putting larger motors in smaller airframes! ;)
Still, the 30-35cc markget seems to be quite hot right now....

I agree, DA-35 is supposed to be 450$ i believe without muffler and there is no real consistent contender to the dle30-35 really so i think that the market is there and i would love to have a 120-130cc 4cly ;)

Hey guys I received my GP-123 today and it looks great! Very high quality casting, nice mufflers, walbro carb, and hv ignition....very nice! Big thanks to Kole at limitlessaero for getting it out to me so fast! Mine is #5076 :)

I'm extremely excited to get it running. I'll be mounting it to a 120cc EG Slick and I'll be sure to take lots of pics of the setup and get some flight footage.
