Hangar 9 super cub

So lets get started . This is a Hangar 9 super cub that has been partly recovered. I just need to be different



I love flying this plane If your a 3D pilot you might want to look at another thread cuz it don't hover .



I chose this plane for its scale apeal fast assembly and I needed a work horse as i plan on doing banner and glider towing with it. And it works well for the banner towing very well . Haven't done the glider tow yet as there none in the club but there will be soon. (video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U3qRaDPDZ4&feature=youtu.be ) so far im up to a 3 ft x 15 ft banner and can go bigger.

Yes there is a full scale I found it's red but was what i used. I do have plans for a cargo pod to hide my tow hook for the banner.

[SIZE= 14px][/SIZE] Here is the breakdown on what's in the plane .



Radio : Hitec Aurora 9

servos : Futaba 3303 "nothing fancy just don't need it"

Batteries : Life 2100mah 6.6v receiver , 700mah 6.6v ignition .and 1500mah 9.9 v for the lights

Tires : 6in dubro " there ok wish they were 8in no wife jokes please

Engine : NGH .38cc 4 stroke gas ( yes its a hobby king engine and it runs flawless )

Prop : Master airscrew 16x10 3 blade . its a good match for banner towing



The paint for the cowl came from a local carquest I took in a piece of the ultra cote and they did a great job of matching it .

Its a single stage paint . I also did the engine yep I painted the cylinder look close at the pics it blends in a small trick on the eye but it works

Show us some photos of your banner hookup and release set up. I am interested in doing that with my 40% Super Decathlon

Nice touch painting the valve cover and head. Really makes it blend in well.
