Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I may need to eat a little crow here... I got my hands on a 120hv to compare with the issue you describe. My other geckos are 65, 85, 125, 155, and 150HV, and they all worked fine. I ran the 120HV on the bench the other day, (no prop) and I could kinda see a little hesitation on spool up. Hoping to get some flight time this weekend so I can say definitively if there is an issue for me.
Hard to say if what I saw on the bench was accurate or not, since there wasn't a prop on. I'll report back with my findings and opinion.

I am telling you this ESC is way way different than the 85, and is different than any of the others I have used on any plane. Its' like it's in full time Soft start mode. BTW, I got my castle 85HV but need to get connectors for it. I reached out to Ken, but no response. Anyone know where I can get the big female connectors from?

You could desolder them off the gecko. Here is where I typically get bullets other then the LHS.

If it too is lazy to start, I wonder if he can reach out and have ZTW take a look at the firmware.

I've already started a dialogue with ZTW through one of their US vendors to verify the firmware is the same.
