Hey Rob, I have to side with Wade on this one. The full scheme looks BAD A__. Of course, this is your plane so you can do as you wish. Just my $0.02 worth. BTW, I got an email from my Buddy who built one of these. He's been building, covering and painting planes since the 70's and he agrees with you. He said his S12 was the biggest PITA that he has ever tried to cover. . . . .

So speaking of the home stretch, my covering arrived today. Yes!! I actually went to work this morning but due to -16 degree temps and a wind chill of -30 below...fuel in all our equipment started "gelling" and hydraulics just did not want to work. Ah well, not a total loss.
I spent the afternoon and evening covering the top wings for the Pitts. I still have half of one interplane strut and both sides of the other yet to cover. After that, just the Purple trim on both wings and then covering is done. After a little cleaning I will start installing the engine, radio equipment and all the wiring. Dang...we're almost there.
In the meantime, a couple of top wing photos.

I would lay odds you will have it done in plenty of time before next winter. I've been fortunate the last two weeks. Too much damn snow to work. LolAt the rate you're going and wit the weather you're having, your test flight is going to be on ski's!
I'm just over hoping I get to fly my Krier before next winter lol

I'm glad SOMEONE is getting the most out of this lousy weather. Temperatures here on Wednesday were in the low 60's with sunny skies and there is at least 6" of snow on the ground this morning and it's still coming down. Did I ever tell you guy's how much I HATE winter? . . . . . .
