If you need a little help making sense of it, @Kevin-Young of jtecrc.com wrote out how the sequences above would be called out by your flying partner. The call outs are for the 2015 sequences but maybe he's working on the 2016 sequences. If nothing else, seeing the 2015 sequences will help you to figure out how to properly call the 2016 sequences.

Ask questions, there are a lot of people out there that were new at some point and they'd love to offer help. I'm new to IMAC too and am going to try to make it to a contest or two this year as Basic competitor (maybe Sportsman if I can get my stuff together).

This is one of the best things you can do next to going to a contest! I flew all year last year in Basic and I could fly the sequences just fine but, didn't know why I was getting dinged on some of the maneuvers that I thought looked great, so I asked one of the intermediate pilots that had helped me out a lot during the year. He explained a lot but, the judging class I went to this year was an eye opener. Everything I was wondering about last year made perfect sense after completing the judging school.

Get with another IMAC competitor and go through the sequence with a stick plane. Then fly while they watch and offer guidance. Also watch THEM fly to see (hopefully ) what it should look like.

Read the judging criteria in the rulebook. Go to a judging school....everything is explained in great detail, well worth the day.

And sign up for a contest. If you're basic, bring any prop driven plane and fly. Will you mess up, yes....we all do. Will you learn something, yes....we all do every flight. Will you meet some great people, YES......some of the best!

I can't wait for the season to start here in the NE Region!!!!

I think that link is VERY OUTDATED material. We have had 3 rules cycle cycle since the online school was instituted and needed SILVERLIGHT to run it.

The newly updated link can be either found on the IMAC website under the DOWNLOADS link and scroll to the bottom of the page.... Or found here

I was the Prez for 4 years and organized the first IMAC World Championship...... So I guess I'm what you can call a "has Been". I'm located in Georgia.
