Tony, a question. Can I use MEK substitute as a thinner for Poly Tak?

Yes you can, if I recall Chip from F&M keep the brush in MEK then dipped into the Poly Tak and it would thin it to the right consistency.

Be careful with the heat, start at 220 and 250 will probably give you sufficient shrink. I had to recover the stab on the Super Cub first time around because the covering deformed the stab.

Thanks, wasn’t seeing anything online about substitute MEK, only traditional.

First Stits attempt....... Not bad, Poly-Tak dries FAST. A few mistakes, I may strip the covering off if the edge trimming doesn't cover my hack job of trimming the overhang.

Getting a nice trim is always a pain with fabric. Make sure the cut line has Poly Tac or Poly Brush on it to keep it from fraying. Holding a straight edge razor blade on an angle and pulling the fabric into it does the best job.
Seen this switch on YT this morning, 6 year old video but the remote controlled switches are currently available, put it where you want it and controlled with FOB, neat. Think I'm getting one for the Super Cub.

The pinking tape cutting isn't going so well. Hard to cut a straight line.

I have this roll of pinked tape from my covering order a couple of years ago but I suspect the 2" width is for the main wing.
