Tony, I have given up trying to craft my own aileron connectors and finally figured out your assembly here. Ordering Dubro parts tonight.

So on the right hand thread clevis end is replaced with a 4-40 threaded stud and a 4-40 rod end turned down. Zoom in on this photo and you can see what I'm talking about.

Got a couple of hours in this afternoon rounding the edges with Polytac and trimmed the excess fabric.

Thank you Tony. A few bucks vs hours of making on my mini lathe is money well spent.

Not liking this. I've always thought I made or glued the aileron arm too low, now I'm pretty sure.

Thoughts?

Other than cutting it out, which will be painful. You can make a short cable from the horn and place a copper plate on the wing for it to glide over and place the turnbuckle in between. Not best but it can be done.

Prototype! Fix it now because you will look at it every time you fly it and will just pee you off!

Not too bad. Popped the wood gussets and exposed the Hysol embedded control arm. A Dremel to cut into the epoxy and I was able to remove the arm. I enlarged the notch and test fitted the arm. It is a good 3/16" higher.
