So on the right hand thread clevis end is replaced with a 4-40 threaded stud and a 4-40 rod end turned down. Zoom in on this photo and you can see what I'm talking about.

Got a couple of hours in this afternoon rounding the edges with Polytac and trimmed the excess fabric.

Not liking this. I've always thought I made or glued the aileron arm too low, now I'm pretty sure.

Other than cutting it out, which will be painful. You can make a short cable from the horn and place a copper plate on the wing for it to glide over and place the turnbuckle in between. Not best but it can be done.
