Not sure what your "dilute through the fabric" comment refers to but I would not brush the first coat on, go right to the spray gun after taping.


The bleed though is Polybrush that soaked through the fabric. Getting rid of those spots would require diluting through the fabric I think you are saying. Nothing serious, I just need to watch my applications.

Going to did little things while I wait on painting season.

And I started year 9 today...............

3/4" would be easier to work with but 1/2" is probably closer to scale. Any thoughts on a gas cap?

Based on this gasket and the scale factor, seems that 3/4” would be the one.

Still trying to figure out if you’re modeling a Super Cub or a J-3. One has a filler cap on each wing while the other has a filler in front of the windshield.

Based on the photo below I would make it about 1 1/8". The tank measures 6 1/2" and the cap measures 13/16". It's too cold to go outside and measure the Suoer Cub width so I'm guess about 9" wide, That would make the cap about 1 1/8". The cap in the photo is missing the float rod.
