Trying to get this landing gear piece square and the best I could come up with was a piece of thick angle iron cut to the same width.

Tried tapping the gear piece square with a hammer but ended up compressing it in the vice.

This landing gear is a pain. 1 little step at a time. A few clamps, wire and boards and I have some semblance of what we recognize on a cub.

Yes indeed, not sure what your plan is, I think joining the center cabane first would be the way to go, then join the fuselage brackets. This could be done flat in a jig, any error could be taken up by a slight rotation of the fuselage brackets.

I don't have a plan. But nothing is finished yet. Just a test fit as the pieces come together. Next is finishing the center cabane (now that everything is square) and before I solder the fuse brackets.

The piece of wood will end up being the jig.
