Why mess around with F2? Run the stringers from the firewall to the dash and be done.

My mom did that. Limited in time and first time for her. She whipped that out in a few minutes.

Correct. Actually the plans show the (.010 aluminum) dash to be rolled forward at the top which would lower the height closer to F2. But we're on the same page.

Haven't looked a plans yet but looked around online. Would love to incorporate this is. To be determined.

Playing around with an aluminum dashboard today. Lots of drilling, sanding and grinding. Even used my mini mill to hog out some metal.
