These photos were taken at the Piper museum in Lock Haven, PA. The welds on the fuselage were not very nice. Maybe it was a training piece?

You and me both, have said that to my self a number of times. Been out looking at them but just never pulled the trigger. Always ending up looking at one that can also weld aluminum and then you needs bottles and extras and all of a sudden it got real expensive and I walked away.

I've had a welding/gas supply house bug me for a long time to complete a purchase, I'm always too busy to commit.

I can’t imagine not having my welder at my house. Don’t use very often but when I do I’m glad I have it. Just a simple Millermatic 125 but it does the job.

Much easier than brazing, silver solder is definitely the way to go. About as easy as traditional plumbing solder.
