This Ulti has the can area boxed in quite well and with front dumps I just need a heat exit. Getting a piece of filler shaped to fill one of the big areas will be the most difficult part. But then maybe not if I use a 1/4" thick piece of the green flower foam as it is very impressionable. Should be able to lay a piece over the area and just rub the perimeter to get the shape and size.

Could you elaborate on the green flower foam. What is flower foam.

The green foam that holds artificial flowers in place, it's hard but soft. But I don't have any on hand so I'll just use the chalk method.

This is what my enclosement of the exhaust looks like . Balsa glued over top of the plywood to direct the heat away from the radio gear.

Oh, yea, that top side is a checker board of opening's and like yours it will get a sheet of balsa over it. Or maybe a one piece of light ply screwed down.

Got the can tunnel vents done so now I can mount the can mounts then install the cans. A lot of cans in there!

And the can mount has been epoxied in place.

I used two metal hangers for the pipes .
You might want to add some Maple brackets side those metal gusts . I have to rebuild the whole landing gear area , brackets ,plates and stringers after a hard landing wipe out my gear .

Photos of the damage fuse and the last photo is the maple block I install instead of the L brackets .
I used a donor fuselage i recieved from Herve and used the parts to trace and cut new brackets and such . This is now my backup plane i'm using to break in a new DA 120 on Pro Flow pipes
