Take the cowl of and set up a Lazer line along the fuselage at zero degrees and then check to see if you have up thrust on the motor.

I do have upthrust. Squared the plane then found the right height for the laser. Probably start with a fender washer behind the 2 top engine mount bolts.

Made some quick 1/8" washers out of G-10.

The plane is definitely square/ level.

The top pic look's like the laser is on the top of the plug and the bottom of the prop shaft, up-thrust. Not enough in view to comment on the bottom pic.

Laser and plane are in same location in both photos. Just the prop shaft has moved. I'll get a better photo.

Made some thinner washers. Also added spinner bolt to enhance laser effect. Looks dead level across the plane. I think I will add fender washers to the G10 washers and make some downthrust.

Added more washers, now I have just a touch of downthrust. Amazing what an 1/8" or less can do.

That looks much better, the laser is centered on the plug and the prop shaft.
