Almost done with assembly, the top ply piece of the engine box is curing. I will glass the corners for a little extra comfort and it will be done. Now if the prop would come in. Have been a little slow on this assembly cause the wife went on vacation as of last Friday.

Almost forgot what is probably the most important thing, balance, here it is with 2oz on the tail. I could get it balanced by moving things around but I really like where everything is. I don't have a digital scale but can say it is close to the 19.5 with the 2oz on the tail. A couple lbs. lighter than the Yak the 85 came out of so I am very happy, not going to need much throttle for sure.
Hopefully get back on the Challenger the first of the week, wife's back to work. He He.......

Anyone out there in the world of Pitts have a three view drawing of the S1-T? I need one for a judging book for Top Gun..

That is the only one I found. But apparently Aviat does not want it to be of any use with it's small size, I tried to enlarge it a bit but it just got blurry. The only noticeable difference between the S, of which I have, and the T is the top wing placement and TG judges will know it.
I have tried numerous times to get a copy from Aviat, been put on indefinite hold, sent to answering machines with no return call's. I did speak to a mechanic once, he sent me via email the little one. I bet if I were looking to buy a real plane they would be jumping through hoops.

Wing placement forward of the S, no cutout in top wing, pressure cowling, cowl flap, symmetrical ailerons, spades on lower ailerons, larger spinner to cover the constant speed prop, slightly different nose bowl shape, slightly larger rudder.

That is all true but also dependent on whom orders one and what they want. My Eagle is fashioned after the full scale and is exact other than the bubble on the cowl. I had to build it by overlaying photos for this very reason, seems there are no three views of the T. Aviat does not even sell plans for the T or I would have bought them. Just thought I would ask if anyone had any one more time, it has been three years since last I asked.

My comments refer to a STOCK S1-T......all of those things are changes from the S model. These were generally the most significant external changes from the S. The higher horsepower Lycoming AEIO-360 (200hp) with prop governor was the biggest internal change.

If your Eagle doesn't have the shape of the pressure cowling, nose-bowl and spinner then it is not a true replica of the T.....would be more of an S type cowling.

I don't believe Aviat has ever sold plans for the T. If I find it somewhere in my files, I have the T brochure, which I think has a large 3-view.

LOL! Cool. I would seriously appreciate the 3 view if you have it.

My cowl is where I will get hit a little on score, it's close, I'm going to try and present pictures not depicting the difference. If I had split the side and drawn them in it would be good but I was not willing to risk ruining it.
