I picked up a couple of wood dowels and relized that they come 48", not 36" so they work great. Starting on my PAU 70cc the empty fuse is pretty light and could slide around a bit. So I drilled a couple of holes 7.5" in from each end and inserted some 5/16" dowels. The fit snug and can be removed and installed by hand. This would be a great way to add a little safety if you want.
