My limited experience with Power Box;
1. Their servo wire is great, was sold out the last time I needed it so I ended up with Brooma RC wire, not so great. The wire is still sold out.
2. A friend has a plane that he purchased with a Mercury SR2 power expander installed, he couldn't make it work with his Futaba receivers, he brought it over and I downloaded the manual, after 5 hours we finally could it set up, way to complicated, and that was with the Igyro disabled. If their radio programs anything like the Mercury, it would be a real mess.

Just curious why you want the GPS gain control, I assume it is adding gain as the speed decreases?

Ok I have played with all of them Arora, Cortex, Demon and PB Igyro. I did not like flying with any of them, not a gyro fan, but after a lot of experimenting I have found out how I like to use gyros. The problem with Gyros is that the gain is set at maximum speed to stop oscillation so the gain ends up being much to low for when you slow down trying to land in a cross wind, so gyro ends up being somewhat useless when you really need it because the gain is to low. So what I ended up doing is general flying gain is off and when I make my final turn coming in to land turn the gyro on with the highest gain setting the gyro can operate at that speed and it works great when I need the gyro to help me land in a cross wind. Now the PB gyro has an input from a GPS unit that will change the gain continuously as the speed changes giving maximum gain at all speeds.
History on my gyros. Aura just got frustrated with it and it’s performance gave it away. Cortex just could not get it to work with zero support from the manufacturer. And the PB Igyro have had in a plane for many years works great.

Yes I agree PB wire is great and I use it all the time.
Again agree with you from all the research I have done not the easiest to work with and especially when trying to make it work with a non PB radio. But I believe programming a Mercury from a PB radio is considerably easier . Not saying that the way PB has done the way they do there programming. One big improvement to help people programming their equipment they have come out with a small PB IPad unit that is made specifically to set up and made by PB to program all their units.

Took me a while to program my power box but finally did get it to work. Love it! Spectrum transmitter and satellites. Very interested to learn more about Powerbox transmitters!

if and when I get it if people are interested I can do a step by step procedure as I learn and get it to operate this plane. I sure it is going to trying and difficult but hope I am able to work my way through it.

Building has stoped for a week or so, need to clean up the shop and make space to build a new indoor TwistedHobby for my self. The last time out I just did to much damage to the plane so building a new one. Do not like building them at all everything is so small and delicate.

Ok just have to get this project done so I have an indoor plane to fly. Not crazy about indoor flying but it it keeps my thumb in practice and it nice to see some of my flying buddies. Also it gets me out of the house.
