I like those Spot on wire tensioners, I used them on a 37% Krill SU-29 build I did for a guy that lives in jerusalem, Israel.

Here's a tip for those using the Spot On wire tensioners, don't use the tube crimps that are supplied with the tensioners. Once you crimp them with the two set screws, you will have a difficult time removing them if you ever (which you likely will) have to replace the pull pull wires. Just route your wires through the tensioners as instructed, put a very small amount of blue lock tight on the set screws and tighten them down securely. The wires will stay in place just fine and replacement will be no problem.

Yeah I've removed a set before.... Not easy to do. Love the simple setup tho!

anyone know the size of the set screws? I'm missing one on my wire tensioner.

Also, I agree with Bruce...I did not use the brass crimps...I'm using larger wire anyway, so two strands wont even fit in the supplied brass crimps anyway.

Finished the pull pull rudder installation on my extra tonight.!

It was super easy with the spot on wire tensioners!
Next step...installing the gp61!!!!!

Including two pics this time :)

Jake, how is your build going? I NEED to see your hands on this plane. I have been dreaming of seeing your flying skills mated with this one!

Yeah I love the tensioners just never used the couplers at the rudder before unless I was planning on taking rudder off.. they sure are nice though

I would have had to drill the #4-40 holes on that servo arm pretty big to fit that post in there...The holes in the rudder control horns were much closer in size to the post.

Ok - time for another update on the 50cc Extra...got the engine mounted last night!!!!!

the premarked mounting pattern for the DLE-55 was the identical to the pattern on the GP-61 - sweet!
