On December 12, 2017, President Trump signed legislation that will reverse the earlier court ruling in the John Taylor case and restore the FAA’s UAS registration requirement, including for AMA members.

AMA believes that registration makes sense at some level, but has pushed for a more reasonable threshold. While we address these issues, members will be legally required to comply with the FAA registration requirement.

All this hoopla is so ridiculous. I agree that registration through the AMA is as important as our automobile insurance policy. But with the Gov'ment boys stepping in and insisting they need to be a part of the pie, well that really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Personally in my opinion, it is just another way for the powers that be to keep a scrutinizing eye ball on us.

I noticed the AMA does NOT require clubs to have that FAA number as part of their ( the club) data base!
