The control horn widens out at the top to except the ball link. The square plate below with the four holes that screws to the elevator it looks like it will difficult to get a screwdriver straight down onto the screw to screw it down because the top part that is so wide.

wow you have a good eye, yes indeed it was a bit of a problem but doable, using 2-56 screws , I should use allen heads with a ball.

landing gear in the flight system will be accessible from the bottom because the Batteries on top

The Laser wheels and tire, entirely 3D printed, the rim is PLA + which is stronger and more durable and the tire is is TPU material , all that is needed now is the oilite brass insert for the axle

Yes it is , using TPU filament, which is basically Urathane , the amount of flex will depend on the amount of fill I program into it.

I haven't weighed it but just comparing it is lighter

Boy that does not happen very often to make your own and it is better and lighter now that is a win,win.
