I like 'em "BIG"!
See, I actually considered that option. (The road trip purchase idea) I looked at trailer prices all over the Ga., La., Al., area. From what I was finding, a guy could buy a darned nice 7x14 twin axle with the industry standard upgraded package for around 2400 to 2800. I considered making a road trip to pick one up, especially because there is a certain plane in NJ. I would die to have. But that would have been around a 6000 mile long round trip. I just could not justify the savings over the cost. So I settled for a new picked up at the factory, smaller but higher quality trailer with the package I wanted. It still cost me over 3K. UGH...... (I may consider moving to "Bama". Just cuz I like that area. And the trailers cost less....LOL)Yep, same thing here Stangflyer, I picked up a Continental Tailwind 7x16 tandem for the college here 2 weeks ago, $5900 out the door. Granted, it's a little higher quality, but not enough to justify over 2x the price! If I was buying for myself, I'd consider a road trip to pick one up back east, no way I would pay local prices!
