I got one wing hinged. I didn't want to gap seal the hingelines with tape so I put some 1/64 plywood on top and bottom of the ailerons. And the top only for the flaps. Just didn't like the idea of putting tape on top of paint. I recessed the hingeline stock with a little jig so that the plywood would lay down nice and flat. My first time doing this type of hinging and learned from it.

after looking at acro planes all of the time it's crazy how tight everything is in there.

Wings are finished! Just need to get them ready for glass. All servos are in, hard points in and control horns installed. I also made a fairing to blend in with the fuse, just mearly cosmetics.

Well finally got this bird on its legs. All the glassing is done and onto the final prep work before paint. I took some time off of work at the end of August. My plan is to have it painted by the time Labor Day weekend is over.

I was hoping to have this painted but just ran out of time. I don't paint but once or twice a year and that is normally a cowl or hatch. This project has really challenged me. Very frustrating at times but rewarding. Still need to finish the stab but that will have to wait until next weekend.
