St George Utah 3D Bash

Ok, so these pics will look silly next to [MENTION=3014]AKfreak[/MENTION] 's but here are some more pics. You can tell that the event turnout was smaller than we would have wished, but we made due and had a great time! The guys that didn't show missed out IMO. Next time we will take a little closer look at the community calendar. The weekend we chose for the Bash had conflicts like... College graduations (at least two somewhat locally and I wouldn't be surprised if there were some in Vegas as well), The Iron Man took a lot of people, and there was also a large warbird event in Vegas on the same day.

With that being said, it also provided opportunities for the event to be a little more personal and intimate. Some of the guys really got a chance to hang out and connect. I really enjoyed the interaction I got from all of you as well as your nice comments and appreciation for all of the work that went into making it happen.

Here is some of Nate and the People. The Raffle seemed to of sold many tickets. The great news is I won some stuff. I won a Buddy RC EC5 Paraboard V3, a $25 gift certificate to Scott Moore (whats his website btw) for a Hayin lipo, Some sort of Robot Servo block (have not a clue), a Buddy RC sticker, and drum roll.........an Aerobeez 48" EPP skinned balsa Extra 300 Arf kit.

I told my buddy Bill that I was going to win 5 times before they bulled the first number. And that is exactly what I did. Hell, I almost felt guilty.

This young man had one of the coolest planes at the field. it was a 35% Hangar 9 SU-26 with a DA-85. It was beautiful, but what was more beautiful, was the fact that this kid was flying it. He put it together, he flew it, landed it, then took it apart. Most of all he was just a wonderful kid. That kind of stuff just has to make a dad proud. Hell I was proud of him.
