So I finished up the landing gear both front and back. Installed a wood block for the tailwheel wire. I'm going to be using the cowl that I laid up by first pre-priming the mold. This will help me expedite this build a little since there is zero pinholes in it right now, and will require minimal prep depending on how much I scratch it up. Fibertech makes the glass cowls for my kits, they are constantly innovating and have come up with a very nice process that they are working on.
The Engine I'm using for this build is a DLE111, latest version that I had on a plane that I recently sold. It is barely broken in and has bowman rings, DA carb (because I had one at the time), surfaced reed block, etc. It has amazing compression and is the strongest 111 I've seen. It will be a good fit, however the DA100 / Jtec mufflers I don't think will work without cutting the cowl front. So I ordered up some stock DLE mufflers with the chamfered front which should fit well. "Slick" compacts also fit perfectly as previously confirmed.
