Skip the 78 if you are going to be upgrading for IMAC. You can fly and do well with a small airplane but if you are going to upgrade from a 60" airplane a 104 or 91 is a big enough jump to really make it worth it.

Earle is a really great guy, also on the World's team for Intermediate. He really, really knows his stuff when it comes to flying and judging as well and is also an accomplished full scale pilot. You will learn a lot flying with him!

If your wanting to do IMAC, don't waste your time or money on a 30cc airframe. Go straight to the 50cc or 100cc.

That's what I figure on going bigger. That's one of the reasons I was looking at the 104 even if it takes me alil longer to finish it. Figured if I was gonna get a 91 might as well get a 104. Cause I know I'll wanna get it eventually. That and I do have a 50cc plane that should get me through until I could get a 104 together.

I didn't know Earle was a full scale pilot too, That's even better, my boss is gonna pay for he and I to get pilots license this coming year. Said if I would get my license with him he would buy a plane for us to use. Would be a dummy if I don't take him up on that offer.

Only thing I'm not for sure exactly on the gasser I have now is the throttle linkage setup. I think I have it setup right but would like for somebody to look it over to be sure. The club I belong to is having their annual Jan 1st get together rain, snow, or shine. I'm sure one of those guys will be able I help me out . I would like to have it squared away before tho.

Well a bigger motor is a lot less touchy on the tuning... might be good to skip to a bigger plane. I had lots of experience operating plenty of stuff just not much experience tuning or tweaking. Needless to say my 70" slick had a pretty rough life as a result of my learning curve. I would have hated to go through that on a bigger more expensive plane. It sounds like you are confident in your small engine abilities though.

Yea I hope so lol. I tuned my Baja by ear and verified by the plug. So having a tach hopefully will make that even easier.

That and I have a cheaper 50cc plane with a dle 55 . That I will make sure I have down pat before I fly a brand new 100cc
