Well, I like my Android because its complicated :)

+1 There is actually more you can do with an Android than an Iphone but it is a little more complicated. Same way i can do more with a PC than a MAC but MACs are sooo user friendly.

Also, my boss(who was on apples jock after he got the Iphone)switched to an android and likes it much better. Much more customizable and versatile.

Poor Samsung though, I like Samsung- I own 3 tv's from them and all my appliances are stainless Samsung. But there advertising these days are strikingly similar to the GOP's adds! Instead of talking about their product, all they do is bash apple! Maybe the election year is responsible! :) hopefully the android and apple users will be able to coexist in peace!

My brother has a Galaxy S3, and I tried it out for a little while not too long ago. I was clawing my eyes out just to figure out how to use it. Might be for some people, but it ain't for me.

I have the Droid Bionic. I got it when my two year old original Droid started going haywire. It would start opening apps, texting and calling peolpe randomly as soon as I unlocked the screen. My Bionic is maybe a year old and has been screwy since it was two months old. Data service will stop after a few minutes of use causing it to have to be powered off and back on. It locks up several times a day. That's two Motorola Droid products I've been burned on in a row. Not going to be a third.

That sucks Rob! What are you going to get instead?

Not sure. My phone research involves asking friends what they think of their phones then reading the online feedback. I got the Bionic when it hit the shelves before there was really any reviews or ratings. My first mistake. I'll just keep slapping this one around and cycling the power for now. I',m not in a rush to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone right now. I don't have much use for a phone outside of making calls, texting, and surfing the net, so whatever they do outside of that is pretty worthless to me. My only requirements are that they have decent data speed, good coverage, a decent camera, high res for watching videos, and in call volume that's loud and clear for folks like me that spent too much time around noisy rc planes, dirt bikes, race cars and worked in loud machine shops for twenty years. lol

So, what is it about the iphone that is so user friendly? Does it take fewer inputs to accomplish a given task? Or does it have more to do with layout and location of features/settings? I'm genuinely curious why everyone says it's so user friendly. Seems to me that Android is easy enough to use.

I bought the iPhone 4 for my first ever smart phone.Love it. got a mac book pro shortly there after..Will not screw with a windows unit again unless have to... Way less bugs to contend with. As far as the phone goes,I imagine i would have been just as happy with droid as iPhone if I had got one of those first. But the interface is just easier to move around to me with apple.. Once you go mac,you wont go back hehehehe
