Down thrust is right on the money. Control throws are the same as when it had the Saito 180 on it. Flew and landed great. What has changed is the DLE 35 and the freaking Gail force winds. The Saito as you know is a beast motor. The 35 is pretty light. The Saito is just shy of 3 pounds, the 35 is 2.02 pounds. Huge difference. Plus I dont have the heavy four blade prop and tank killer spinner up front. So the reduced 1 plus pounds off the nose made a huge difference combined with the wind. No worries. She flew and really well. And looks bad ass in the air. Minor weight correction and she will be golden.

Had a very successful event at the NEW AMA Expo West venue at the Pomona Fairplex!!! Not only did we fly foamies, but us vendors were granted special access to fly giant scale on the new outdoor flight line. It certainly brought an exciting new twist to the same old show.

Finally went flying, temps just below 50F, slight shifting breeze made it kinda unique and fun, no rain! got about 30min of flying with the 73" laser on the new Redline Oil. I must say it doesn't smell as good as the STHL Ultra. Engine sounded great after the first 10 min. Didn't have to adjust any needles, or anything. No excess residue. So a pretty easy switch to the king of two cycle oils.

The weather here today was about as perfect as it can get for this time of year. 0 wind with gusts to 4. Bright warm sunshine and clear blue skies. Heck, I had to take five and just sit in a chair in the sunshine and soak it in. What did I do with the remaining 5 hours and 25 minutes? Well I flew and I flew and then I flew some more. Four flights on the Baby Yak and four flights on the O.S. 70 powered Trainer. Doing touch and go's one after another. Over and over and over... Torque rolls, rolling harriers and of course some wicked spinning "Pop-Tops". Holy heck it was beautiful today. Just made the 8 flights and the total 1 hour and 30 minutes literally airborne so well worth it. Even my little four legged co-pilot got in on some action. LOL.

Going to hit it again tomorrow. I think I need to get me some red headed action tomorrow. :yesss:

The weather has been simply gorgeous. Not quite as nice as yesterday. But still really good all the same. The winds were about four gusting to 9 most of the day. Quite a number of guys showed up to fly today. We all had a really great time. The Pilot Edge seen some action as did you know what. Lol, the glow powered trainer. All in all a really nice day and a great weekend.
