I like 'em "BIG"!
Home for the weekend. Skies have been raining, It's a chilly 54 out...but the wind is not blowing and the rains have stopped. (For now) I'm going flying and nothin's gonna stop me today.
Hey Rob, I hope you didn't take your "Baby" out and fly her. You wouldn't want her to catch a cold, would you? . . . . .Home for the weekend. Negative David, Baby stayed home snuggled up under her drop cloth sheet snuggled up next to the big ass Yak. I needed some serious therapy today, so it was all about the 100cc Purple Mahem Machine. A little hovering here, a little rudder "bumpin" there...and a whole lot of rolling circles. Dang I keep asking myself, "Why, "WHY"....why did I wait so long to purchase this airframe?" My son had a minor incident with his 50cc Pilot Edge. It seems that rudder bumpin' is not allowed on birds of that size. He only caused very minor damage when he cartwheeled his the same exact way I did mine not so long ago. He told me...Yup, time for a bigger plane. I keep telling him though..... A bigger plane makes a bigger mess when it falls down and goes boom. LOL. I put 5 flights all exceeding 12 minutes on the Purple Animal and holy heck the awesome time I had. Everytime I take that plane out, it just makes me giggle like a kid in a candy store. Alas, I am heading out of town for work again tomorrow. GRRRRR!!!!!!!! I just wanna go flying. Hee heeHey Rob, I hope you didn't take your "Baby" out and fly her. You wouldn't want her to catch a cold, would you? . . . . .
It was an absolutely beautiful day at our flying field today with sunny skies, temps in the mid 60's and light winds. I had an absolute blast even though I didn't have time to get anything ready to fly due to work. Heck, I even managed to put four hours in at the office this evening. My schedule for tomorrow is breakfast with my brother at Golden Coral then the a repeat of today. I don't foresee many more weekends like this for some time.
Well I wouldn't go so far as to say it makes it worth while.....but I'll take whatever time I can get here at home. LOLHey Rob,
I'm glad you and your son had a good time. Makes all of the PITA out of town work worth while. . . . . .
I can't believe how well this little thing flys.
Your missing about 20 other planes up with you flying at the same time.
What plane is that?

This is the Bloody Baron. They have a ton to choose from and they are cheap. It really did surprise me how well it flew.

I agree. I would love to see an event to get the youth out so they could build one and learn how to fly it. There is little to no interest by kids around here.I have scratch built a couple of their planes and they have all flown really well. I can honestly say that FliteTest has been great for the RC community, especially those who are just getting into the hobby.
