I think it's just at the discretion of the retailers, in this instance I bought it from Tim at NorthWest RC so he's warrantying it for me since I had the propeller all of 3 days.

Hopefully it's not a bad batch of 28 x 9 1/2's since I just bought one from Tim too.

Well I had a blast this weekend. Flew my Edge on Saturday and Sunday, finally getting the thing dial'd into where I want it. The DA120 is ridiculously overpowered for the airplane and the Falcon 28x9.5 prop pulls AWESOME!!

I think I'm going to ditch the Pulse 2550 packs in favor of some Pulse 5000 packs. It's not for run time, it's just for more weight, the airplane is too light for how I like. Very thrilled with the airplane otherwise.

I got VERY lucky, and am probably the only person to delaminate a Falcon propeller at idle on my final approach!! All I heard was a loud POP and the engine shut down, was able to glide the airplane in and when I went to inspect, I saw the prop was totally destroyed. None of us are certain how this happened...

Thankfully it's under warranty so it's being replaced

Monday morning I took the Yak out to fly, man that DA120 is really worn, it's way down on power. I might send it into DA to have them rebuild it, it probably needs it. Just afraid to do it since I don't like to mess with something if it isn't broken- a tired engine is technically not broken.

I did get to fly my buddies 104" Extreme Flight MXS, man that is such an easy to fly airplane. If I buy another 100CC airplane it'll probably be one of those.

I'm very happy for you that you are getting your Edge dialed in. I on the other hand have run into a bit of brick wall on mine. Granted, it is pretty hard to mess up a Pilot airframe. But, well...you guessed it. The Plane was brand new and never flown, let alone gas put in the tank when I purchased it. Unfortunately I have been fighting some issues with mine and just couldn't put my finger on it. Full throttle it was all I could do to keep it from become a oil seeking drill...straight down. Come off the power and it will float pretty well. Adjust the trim for level flight with power on and it is pretty good. But pull the power off with that trim? Yeah, you, me and no one else is going to land that thing. It wants to climb to the moon. Also, in a straight up climb, it wanted to pull hard right. Hmm....

I have some suspicions. How about you guys? So a quick email to Tony to confirm what I already knew. But just to be certain. 0 down thrust, and 2 degrees right thrust. So, I go to measuring...

When the gent I bought the plane from installed the firewall, he apparently was not aware of thrust angles. 3.5 degrees down thrust....(This is the reason it wanted to drill for oil) 4.5 degrees right thrust. No wonder it wanted to do knife edge loops all by itself. So I have a little task ahead of me the next couple of days. Remove the firewall, reset the angle and re-install it to... you guessed it. 0 degrees down thrust, 2 degrees right. LOL

But that is not going to be my major task this weekend. I won't be doing any flying. And I won't be doing any Behemoth Yak repairs. Yes, I loved that plane. So much so, that it was time to move on. To what you may ask? Feast your eyes on this.

I am so excited guys. I just can't tell you. I was so pleasingly shocked to discover this one was still available. Especially since it is brand new and untouched other than for photos. Also because an email from Tony confirmed he no longer makes the 129" Yak 54. I told him I would feel guilty for asking for the wood to rebuild the Behemoth Yak again. But know what he told me? No problem. Send me the photos of the damage and I will send you the wood... again. NOW "THAT" my friends is a stand up guy. Just one of so many reasons I will forever stay loyal to Pilot RC. So I will probably order the wood to rebuild her. But in the meantime, I am going to build this bad to the bone Prince.

What do you guys think? Should we do an assembly/build thread on the new Prince? I will be picking him up on Sunday. Yes!

I told him I would feel guilty for asking for the wood to rebuild the Behemoth Yak again. But know what he told me? No problem. Send me the photos of the damage and I will send you the wood... again. NOW "THAT" my friends is a stand up guy.

AMAZING!!! I haven't purchased from Pilot before, but that is a huge complement and a very compelling reason to do so in the near future!

AMAZING!!! I haven't purchased from Pilot before, but that is a huge complement and a very compelling reason to do so in the near future!

The Pitts was the first plane I have literally built in years. Mostly because "ARF's" are ten times easier on the pocket book. I have had the not so pleasured experience of a number of ARF companies. But in my opinion, There is only "ONE" that "could" compete with Tony and Pilot RC if they would offer the same as he does. Perhaps one day. Until then, If looking for an ARF, I will look to Pilot before I go anywhere else.

Hey Rob,

I am so glad you decided to rebuild your Behemoth Yak again. Am awesome plane like that deserves to be rebuilt. I have never tried a Pilot ARF, but I may just try one to see how I like it.

With regards to your second question. Of course we want you to do a build thread. . . . .
