If memory serves, they refer to the Maxima as "micro" due to its size. It is a full range low latency high resolution rx. I do have one "minima" rx. I've yet to use. I think that's how it was explained to me. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'm using the opti 9's, if I get in on the buy rx at half price deal, I may try a maxima. I'll really know more about where I am with this radio, when I get my slick on it. I can tell you this, the step up is very noticable

Regarding the Maxima receivers: If you utilize them in a glow or gasoline application you need to insulate them very well against the vibrations. We typically don't recommend them on gassers, they're mostly for the helicopter guys. With our airplanes, the standard 20ms response time and 2048 resolution is plenty quick enough- it takes 300ms to blink your eyes for comparison.
