I totally get what your thinking and completely "feel" what you are saying. It's like, "dayyyymn, now I have to get a new airframe"! "Oh darn"! LOL. Got a couple of suggestions that will help you out. Or confuse you even more.

Slicks fly really....hu, hum....."SLICK"! I've heard the new 580 is a ball busting wail of a good time flying plane.
OR......

Ever since I have been paying closer to Rob Holland, I have fallen in love with the MXS. I would really love to have a 40 center.
So there ya go....just get a new airframe. Go 'head....you know you want to.

(I'm so evil) LOL

Love how the slick flew, honestly don't like the scheme of the 580s, looking at the 540T orange or even the demonstrator scheme. Only hold back is the covering on the demonstrator would be hard to repair I think. It does remind me of my old Mojo though

Nothing quite like the fun a good ole mojo 40 can provide.

Curious what plane that is next to Miss Moana. I haven't really like the Breitling scheme from past photos. But this one has a little bit of a "snap" to it. Right "sharp" looking. Maybe it is the plane?!?! It's an Edge, right? But who's????
Rob, that's my buddy Tony's Carf 35% 2.6 meter Extra 330SC with a DA120. Being a composite airplane it has an awesome paint job. Carf's have improved in the last few years by eliminating the seam at the top so they look better than ever.

The Breitling scheme was actually my choice, or I should say I talked him into it. Thankfully he loves it.

Ok, now I can see the front of it better. Wow...is all I can say. That is one really fine looking airplane. I am very jealous. I have really liked the CARF planes. I just didn't care too much for the fuselage seam that was so evident in all of them. Now that they have fixed that issue, I can very easily see me owning one of them. Especially with the redesign of the wing attachment inside the fuse. I didn't care for the double spar bolt together action.

I didn't know they used the spars. I know Krill did on their Katana and I've seen some impressive crash videos when they break.
My Carf Extra 330L was 12 years old when I sold it last year, it had wing tube.

Aww crap, my mistake. I get a little ahead of myself sometimes. Truly... I was thinking composite and immediately thought about the bolted together spar thingy. Could it have been Krill I was actually thinking of??? A friend had a composite 100cc'er. I believe it was an Extra. I remember looking inside the fuse and seeing those two big heavy wing spars joining in the middle of the fuse then being retained with a single bolt. I didnt like it so much. Now i gotta go find the photo from when he sold it a couple of years ago.

After doing some research it looks like Carf had what they called a "Floating Blade Spar" on there early Extras and Yaks. I haven't been able to come up with a picture, but they talk about changing over to a tube in their Yak ad and the instructions for the Super Extra.
