That must have been a thrill. To be in an aeroplane and with that scenery
Very different style of flying than in the flatland. Mostly we were in tight valleys with limited space, so narrow you couldn’t turn around.

Been snowing the last few days. Yes... SNOWING. wet, not sticking that great, hanging around 33F. Workshop is clean... Need to start back up on the 75" edge.
I did a preorder on on fundable a DHC-2 90" kit a week ago from Mustache Model Works founded by David Eichstedt who was a model aircraft designer for Horizon Hobby. Here is his rcgroups blog: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=169535
I have the VVRC 21 just sitting, waiting for this. It should be fun building a kit with updated 3D cad techniques. I've never owned a DHC-2 Beaver, but after working on the full scale bird I've always wanted an RC model of it. I was twidling my thumbs thinking I should just buy the Horizon ARF, but for me the whole purpose would be to make it with the Alaska Seaplanes livery where I used to work as and A&P/IA for about 5-6 years. Brings back some good memories. So I finally just said what the heck and pulled the trigger on the kit. Expected to receive it in about a few months. So very possible it could be completed by this spring.

Starting wonder if I will ever get out to fly it has been five weeks since I last had a flight. It has been raining for most of the time we may have one day in while were it was not raining but everything is soaked. Starting have withdrawal symptoms, and it is not even winter yet.

Wow - five weeks and I thought I had it bad when I missed one weekend.
