Ok I have general question to all you technical guys. I have seen this done both ways and I can see an argument for either one. Ok let me try to explain.
For example if you are bolting a muffler to an engine.
1. Do you place the lock washer on the bolt and then install the bolt. OR
2. Do you place the lock washer on the bolt and then a flat washer on the bolt and then install bolt.
Which way is correct and why.
Well is she learning to fly, or better does she have her own plane to fly.Just sharing some build progress on the glider I'm working on with my daughter. I tried telling her we only need a little bit of glue on the ribs but she got a little carried away so every rib has a very nice glue fillet between the ribs and cap strips. She is having fun though and thats all that matters.

She has this glider we are building together and then a club member donated a Great Planes 30CC avistar airframe he was no longer flying. I have installed all the servos in it and just ordered a motor and ESC over the weekend. As soon as they show up I will get them installed then take it out for a couple of lunch break flights one day and get it flying and trimmed properly. Once that's done I will take her out and put her on the buddy box with a buddy helping her out as well.Well is she learning to fly, or better does she have her own plane to fly.
I tried to get my 2 girls interested, they loved the flight simulator. Build two planes for them they flew less than 10 flights and looked at me and said sorry but this is boring, and that was it.She has this glider we are building together and then a club member donated a Great Planes 30CC avistar airframe he was no longer flying. A little late to the party:
Bolt + Nordlock washers + thin High Temp RTV on clean mating surfaces and threads. snug up let set for 10min or so and then snug it up
One thing that will help her a lot is she loves to talk and ask questions out of genuine curiosity. Last time she went to the field with me was with a club I was visiting. She had 20 new best friends by the time we left.I tried to get my 2 girls interested, they loved the flight simulator.
