Not exactly an airplane or RC related, but built this boot shelf for a friend of mine. She found a similar one online and wanted one, but couldn't find one to buy anywhere. Got the old horseshoes from a local rancher and had the lumber laying around, so the total cost was under $20 and about 6 hours of my time. Hardest part was cleaning up the rusty horseshoes with a wire wheel, that took hours! My favorite kind of project, combined welding and woodworking all in one!

I finally got the contract for my new 24x30 bldg! Too bad I still have 6in of snow on the ground, but it should be gone in a couple weeks, about the same time my permits are approved.

There is supposed to be 8-12" of snow falling tonight at my place. Glad I don't have to be back at work until Friday night. Time to get in the shop and start building.

Landing gear & pants mounted. Flying wires done. Almost done!

Learned a new trick for pull-pull/flying wires. If using nylon coated wire, loop it thru, twist it a few times and hold a lighter under it. The nylon melts and fuses together. Then you just put heat-shrink over it. Jesky said he's done that for a long time and it's never slipped. Heck of a lot easier & faster than using crimps!

Finally rebuilt my sbach45 after its dreadful mainden flight. Just need to make up extensions for the new tail servos, install the tank, and get a new pressure tap for the header (I kinda sorta broke the other one installing it in the new header).
