I mustered up some energy to get into my shop and try to tighten up some loose covering on the Yak today before everything started to spin I must be going through Nall withdrawals because I've been sick most of the day!!

Slapped the Falcon 27x11 on the DA120 tonight and tuned it all up. Shes running awesome, can't wait to get her airborne and try it out this weekend.

Worked on my Composite ARF Extra tonight. I wanted to check it out and see if I could find some reason why it died at half throttle causing me to land in a farmers field, but then restart on the second flip and run perfectly when we got it back to the pits. I decided that while I was at it, I would change out the DuBro tank for a water bottle.

Since all the batteries are mounted in the engine dome for balance, working on this thing is a challenge to say the least. It's really crowded in there.

I did find two problems. One was an O-ring trying to escape the fuel filter, and the other was the throttle servo was trying to fall off.

I ordered a Fortitude 20 ounce tank. I know there have been leak issues in the past, but the version 2 is supposed to be good. I guess I'll find out.

Yeah the red filter is history.

Having to mount everything in the nose of a Comp ARF isn't all that unusual, especially on the smaller models. At least I was able to get it to balance without any added weight. It's heavy enough as it is.

Yep. Dead weight is an absolute last resort. I'd hang the batteries on the prop before I'd add dead weight.

Love my GP 61 the only dead stick I've had with was because it was a bit lean on the bottom end..

I've been very happy with the GP61 so far. I've got a little over 2 1/2 gallons through it and up until Sunday it has run great. It makes loads of power. This is almost a 22 pound airplane and it pulls it around really well. I would love to try one in a lighter airframe.
