Spent the weekend getting a new to me Hangar 9 Super Cub ready. I've wanted to put together a tundra plane using PRBushwheels setup for a couple years. A guy at the club was selling a nearly new Super Cub so I decided to jump on it. The PR Bushwheel setup is sweet! 8.75" main gear, tundra tailwheel on leaf spring and machined aluminum gear, and spring loaded shocks instead of the stock rubber band system. She's loaded and ready to maiden tomorrow morning!

You get what you pay for...Thanks it really looks good but for that kind of money it had better look good and the quality had better be there and best of all it is American made and will last a long time. Keep us up to date.
It has an AGM 30cc gas engine ( I bought it complete without the PR Bushwheels which I added) and it only had 4 flights on it when I bought it and I put 3 flights on it today. Rich and not broken in it had good power. In vertical stall turns it wasn't unlimited vertical but it was more than was needed....it may be unlimited vertical when broken in and not running overly rich. If you want to hover it (why does anyone want this in a Cub??) it isn't enough...if you want to fly scale I suspect a 20cc gas engine would suffice even with the weight of the bushwheels.I'm getting curious about this setup. I've looked at PR bush wheels for a while know, may have to pull the trigger one of these days. Your cub... which engine is under the cowl? I have a friend with that ARF in the box still... I saw you went to the field, what did you think of the performance with the engine and wheel setup? Thanks!
I set the CG at the recommended location and it doesn't feel odd in any way. That's what I wanted to hear thanks! I have heard of people using the VVRC 40cc in that plane, and was thinking a DA35 would be sweet. How did the CG feel with them big tires?
