The inverted Delta printer I have been working on. Pretty much started out as a frame kit, then I bought the components. I printed all the green pieces and designed the spool mount.

Looks like you are doing really well with it. I just spent the last couple of weeks just trying to 2D stuff on AutoCAD let alone 3D . Never tried 3D maybe in the future but you doing well and the parts look great.

Well I do cheat. Thingiverse.com has a bunch of stuff I can download and print.
I’m really just learning how to set the parameters and coding. I have printed one thing that was similar to what I was trying to recreate

WOW. Some really high tech resources getting in to the shops. I'm so far behind it will still take a land line long distance phone call to catch me up .

At least my good ol' fashioned hands still knows how to fill a hole and dig a ditch with a model plane . Literally lol

Speaking of holes......Getting closer to making the one in the side of the cub fuse disappear........

That's not cheating, that's being smart and saving time. I use some stuff off there or modify it to suit my needs. If I design something I think other people might use, I'll post the file one there.

How much have you invested so far? How tall can it go?

Under $500 with extra filament, There are a lot of promo codes out there for this printer on youtube, just got to wait... then wait a little over a month to get it from china. I decided on the CR-10S because its the most bang for the buck for a noob I thought. There is a large following which is nice. Heated build platform is 300x300x400mm which is pretty big... part of me wishes I got the smaller version because I doubt I'll print something that will fill that platform (it would take days!).

Wow that looks fantastic. You can really do things with that. It must open things up for you that just never thought of before. Keep up the good work and make sure to show us what you have printed very interested to see the things that you print.

There is no such thing as cheating you are just using the tools that are available, simple as that. Make sure you keep us informed.

Maybe I need to start a 3D printing thread... Seems like there is a lot of interest and a few folks doing it here as well. It'll be nice once I get things dialed in. The amount of things (useless and useful) are endless. My mind has tons of ideas!
