Bring it to the Midwest fly in Saturday. I’ll see you there.EDF's are fun that's for sure. I haven't flown my Mig 21 since January and need to change that very soon!

It's not exactly a "Big Bird" so I think they may frown on that at the Big Bird fly in. Besides it needs the fabric runway that runs east west, and that will be closed during the big bird.Bring it to the Midwest fly in Saturday. I’ll see you there.

I also have to admit I have an issue with having to pay to fly at my own field.
Planes of all sizes are welcome at our club, thankfully. Most of us like to keep the bigger airplanes on the north south grass runway for noise reasons. The fabric runway runs east west so the smaller guys stay over there for the most part. During our Warbird and Classic event and during the Big Bird Fly-in they usually close the east west unless it's absolutely necessary to use it. the reason is there is a crabbie old woman that lives just out of frame on the lower left corner of the picture below and we try our best not to get her on the warpath. We own the field, but that doesn't mean you can fly airplanes on it in today's sue-happy world. Things have been calm for several years now, and we'd like to keep it that way.Sounds like my club but they got rid of letting GS planes fly and membership is next to nothing now. Last time I drove by it had a bunch of FPV quad obstructions all over the run way and only two people quad racing. I won't be re-newing .
On a happier note did get the repair finished to the 330sc wing . Just need to hunt down some scrap black, white and red ultra coat.....
and a fuselage .

Our new club location is in the mountains. Makes for a very interesting landing. I'll take some photos.

If there is a east or west wind we will takeoff and land on the east west runway when flying gas, but we try not to fly on the west end unless you have to.
As you see we have lots of shade at our field and the best part is there isn't a single tree anywhere near where you fly. They are all behind you.
