I hear ya.Just spent the last several hours replacing the lower element in my water heater. Changing the element is simple. But cleaning all the gunk out of the bottom of the tank has to be one of the worse jobs on earth.![]()

Saw the take off and the good landing other than all I got was some heavy breathing from an old guy.The "field of view" is 140 degrees but the video shows best clarity about 90 degrees. It gets a bit fuzzy after 95 degrees.
Here is a video of the same flight but from "pilots view" taken with my new Hero5 session. The video quality on you tube is substandard to the actual video. It's in 4K. Not going to pay them a fee for that.
I find it difficult to work on planes that people have thrashed on and not taking the time to do it properly. I always end up either walking away and or wanting to strip it down and fix it. It’s hard for me just to do enough to get into the air.I spent yesterday afternoon helping a guy get is 40% Aeroworks Extra 260 ready to fly. I think it's a ready as I can make it. He's taking it to the field today. The only way I can describe this airframe is ROUGH. It's been hacked and cobbled on something fierce, it seems solid but it looks like hell. I guess time will tell how it flies.
Did some more work on the profile 20 cc Edge. The bottom is done and all the small bulkheads are in and glued the motor bulkhead in as well. The two hard maple motor mounts are spliced into the side plates. Now I have to start the top section and the removable section to get to everything. It is starting to look like a plane again if I say so my self.

Hey Bart! How’s it going brother??So, I have to ask, at what point is a built up profile not a profile anymore?![]()
I do not have that answer. All I can say is this plane was originally I belive 8 inches wide at the cowl before I drilled it in to the ground. After awhile I thought I would give it a try to turn it back into 20cc plane. About profile planes the ones that I have seen are about 3/4 to 1 thick. I build a profile slab once about 3/4 thick did not like it it was not very rigid so built another fuselage 2 3/4 wide much better much stiffer and lighter. That was a 50cc plane I built a while back. So when I started this one I decided to make it 2 1/4 wide. Just wide enough to mount the motor and get all the equipment inside the fuselage, it is very tight. The fuel tank will slipped into the fuselage from the side and be the same width as the fuselage. So, I have to ask, at what point is a built up profile not a profile anymore?![]()
