At last got the engine mounted to the plane. Now I can see all the difficulties I have put myself into by moving the motor backwards to help with the balance. Now I have to figure out how to in close the engine and make it look decent.

Bring the sheeting in just enough to hide the mounting flanges and bolts and let that beautiful valve cover and rocker tubes hang out for all to see.

I like 'em "BIG"!
I spent the day shopping for lumber and then assembling myself one king behemoth sized building table to build the behemoth Mustang on. It actually turned out pretty decent for being just thrown together in an afternoon. It is straight, level and "BIG". That is all that counts right? Hmm, even the level says its good. Right along with an agreeance from the 48" straight edge. Yeah, I think this will work just fine.

A carpenter I am not. I would much rather be flying. LOL...

Next up, we will fill the lower shelves with Kolm and Don Smith and assorted equipment. The top will be laden with so much awesomeness I won't be able to handle it. Stay tuned fellas.... "Behemoth Stang" build on the horizon.

Throw some castor wheels under that table. Most of mine are locking.

That is the plan. Once it is moved to a much larger work shop. I honestly built this to get the big Mustang rolling. I may look at (UGH) buying a house this year. I hate the responsibility of owning a home. Gotta cut the grass, and gotta pay for all the upkeep and repairs, and gotta do all those "honey do's" even though they ain't no honey here. Owned a couple of homes earlier when my kids were young. But for me, I have no responsibility and no obligation. If I want to pack up my planes and move south, I can. Alas, my kids are here...I ain't going no where. Might as well buy a little house with a huge garage to park the new table in right?

I may look at that down the road. It certainly would make things much easier.

I just realized your table and mine are much alike, yours looks to be 4x8, mine is 3x7. But I have casters, ha-ha.
35" high, 32" wide, 96" long. I'll build a nice and more accomadating table next year. I really want casters. But this one should get me by for a while.
